Comedian-actor Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia, his publicist has confirmed. Mac had been admitted to Chicago's Northwestern Memorial hospital on Aug. 1, but had been expected to recover. The 50-year-old actor had battled sarcoidosis, a chronic disorder that can cause inflammation in the lungs.

"Since then, they've become very close, which Brad is thrilled about. Angelina is inspired by Bono's humanitarian work and gets on with his wife Ali Hewson."

Bono was said to be so "Excited" by the offer he accepted immediately.

People magazine reports that Nicole Richie and rocker Joel Madden are now the proud parents of a baby girl.

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces.

Richie’s rep told People, “The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents.”

Eminem Rushed To Hospital From Heart Probs & Pneumonia

Eminem was rushed to the hospital over the holidays due to complications from pneumonia.

A statement released Tuesday (January 8) by Eminem's label, Interscope Records, reads: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, was under doctors' care at Detroit-area hospitals for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."

TMZ cited "sources" as saying the Em's weight has exceeded 200 lbs., although a source close to the rapper questioned that account when asked about it by MTV News.

Hannah Montana Nationwide Concert Tour

LAS VEGAS - By popular demand, multi-platinum recording artist and star of the hit Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," Miley Cyrus will extend the "Best of Both Worlds" nationwide concert tour through January 31, 2008. Cyrus kicked off the 55-date tour October 18 in St. Louis in support of her double platinum two-disc set effort, Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus (Walt Disney Records/Hollywood Records). The tour will land at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19. The Friday show will begin at 7 p.m. and the Saturday show will begin at 4 p.m.

After Sex tape, Malaysia health minister resigns

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia - Malaysia's health minister resigned Wednesday after acknowledging that he and a female friend were the couple in a secretly filmed sex video.

A one-hour DVD recording circulated anonymously last week showed Health Minister Chua Soi Lek, a married man with three children, performing sexual acts with the woman in a hotel room.

Chua, 61, acknowledged Tuesday he was the man in the video, and described the woman as a "personal friend." He refused to elaborate.
